Sedation with Laughing Gas
If you are feeling uneasy during a regular dental procedure, we do offer nitrous oxide, also referred to as laughing gas. Nitrous oxide is a slightly-sweet smelling, non-irritating, colorless gas. The effects of the gas are almost immediately reversible upon completion of your procedure, so you’ll be able to leave our office and resume your normal activities.
Other Sedation Methods
If you have a more intensive procedure coming up, such as an oral surgery, we offer more intensive sedation options, like oral and IV sedation.
- Oral Sedation: You will take a pill to make you feel more comfortable during your visit. This is considered a mild level of sedation.
- IV Sedation: If you choose IV sedation, we will put you to sleep so that you are completely relaxed for a deep level of sedation.
We offer these sedation methods for patients who are undergoing:
- Bone Grafting
- Wisdom Teeth Removal
- Gum Surgery
For both oral and IV sedation, we will want to make sure you have a companion to drive you home after your appointment.
